Spike Catcher Trading System
The CMI Spike Catcher trading system utilizes a combination of regression polynomial analysis and the supply and demand indicator in MetaTrader 5. Here are the instructions for setting up the system's indicators:
Indicators:Add the Plombiers indicator. Adjust the settings by changing the SIGNAL line to a solid line and increase the thickness for better visibility.
Incorporate the Shved supply and demand indicator.
Add an RSI (Relative Strength Index) with a 6-period setting, applied to the closing prices. Include RSI levels of 90 and 10.
Add the ADX (Average Directional Index) into a separate window, and set the level to 88, colour it red.
Integrate the CCI (Commodity Channel Index) with a 303-period setting and colour it blue into the same window as the ADX. Read below for instructions on adding its levels.
Trading Instructions: For Buy Trades:
Ensure that the green lines on the main chart are moving upwards.
Check if the white line is crossing below the lower green line.
Verify that the RSI is touching or below level 10. If not, wait for it to cross before proceeding.
Confirm that the ADX (Red Line) is very close to the 88 level, but it doesn't need to cross.
Check that the CCI (Blue) is very close or touching the level 4.
When all these conditions are met, enter a buy trade and be patient. A spike is expected.
For Sell Trades:
Do not use a separate CCI level; use the same level as the ADX (level 88).
Ensure that the green lines on the main chart are moving in a downward direction.
Check if the white line is crossing above the upper green line.
Confirm that the RSI is touching or above level 90. If not, wait for it to cross before proceeding.
Verify that the ADX (Red Line) is very close to the 88 level, but it doesn't need to cross.
Check that the CCI (Blue) is very close or touching the level 88.
When all these conditions are met, enter a sell trade and be patient. A spike is expected.
